You pretty much need a press to get suspension bushings in/out. You can hammer on a bushing all day and its not gonna move, the rubber just absorbs the impact and a C clamp just isn't gonna cut it. Sometimes if a bushing is really badly deteriorated you can push the metal center out and you have a big enough hole to get a hacksaw blade through the middle of the bushing, hacksaw down through the rubber and outer metal part of the bushing being carefull not to cut into your LCA or strut, do this twice very close together so you can remove a small piece of the bushing, the the rest will ususally come right out, you'll still need to get the new ones pressed in though.
