need help on my lsvtec turbo my number 1 piston is not firing
ok so first my car was braking up at boost i think cuz i have a boost leak in the intake manifold the leak is on the #1 piston side i put a new gasket on then i put a boost leak tester on it and it was still leaking at the same spot and know the number 1 cyilnder is not firing my spark plugs and wires are all new i put the #1 injector into the #2 cylinder and it was working fine so i know it's not the injectors and i know it's not the injector clip so the next day i star it up and all 4 cylinders wher working fine it seems like when the car get's hot the #1 cylinder don't firewhat can this be ??? some one help me thx
the compression test #1 160 #2 185 #3 170 and #4 160 all my numbers are good i called honsda and the guy said i should be like 170 or 180 and told him what my numbers wher and he said it's good what do i look for next??

When you say not firing do you mean it's not getting spark or that cylinder 1 is missing for some unknown reason? How did you determine that it's not firing? More people will reply if you describe the problem.

check the #1 sparkplug. swap it for #2s. compression test it cold. warm it up till #1 starts mis-firing. compression test it again, if possible, with it all hot. maybe you have a bad head gasket.

Check your spark at each plug wire.

regardless if it was hot or cold if you had a bad head gasket it will leak no matter the temp you said you change your spark plugs and wires but that sounds to me like your coil is going bad. now tell me something when you turn it on do you get a weird noise coming from your engine like when your car doesn’t want to start. now in order to find the problem you need to go trough the process of elimination check your spark fuel and compression you all ready check a few so it is not your compression so that leaves the spark and fuel if all seem right move to your sensors some times the knock sensor or map will make it act funny like that but check your distributor good.

Check your valve timing as well. I think it's a little strange that both cylinder #1 and #4 have slightly lower compression than the other two, since they move together.

Those numbers on the comp test seem a bit low. Its a LS vtec not a straight LS which would be a few points lower. LS pistons w/ a vtec head should be across the board anywhere from 185 to 200. What head are you running this setup with?
