Default Need help installing my new DC header into my FBP '00 Si

I just got a DC sports 4:2:1 header, single piece, and was wondering if anyone knew any online resources or personally knew of any instructions as to installing it. I know the basics and I was just wondering if anyone has any tips or websites they can refer me to, thanks alot!

Well, asking here is a pretty good start for a reference, make sure you use a torque wrench cuz you don't want to break those bolts that bolt the exhaust manifold to the block. An 02 sensor socket, available at Napa, etc, is the easiest way to remove and reinstall the 02 sensor(s). It's really pretty straight-forward, just follow the Helms or Haynes manual, and if you have any specific questions, I'm sure they could be answered here. Have fun

This is perhaps one of the best beginer mechanic references, and is avalaible for most cars on the road. They can be bought at most auto parts stores for whatever model year car you have, and are written based on a complete tear-down and rebuild of the car in question, as well as offering a troubleshooting guide to most of the problems one is likely to encounter. Very handy reference, cuz there's no way one can just know off the top of one's head everything one's likely to need to know when working on a car. Hope this helps

Two days ago I installed an A'PEXi 4-2-1 1 piece header and really the only way was from underneath the car....Take the 12mm bolts off from the head, unplug your O2 sensor and then get a 14mm and a 12mm wrench and remove the header from the exhaust and then take a wrench (i'm not real sure of the size and take the 02 sensor out....and then do the same thing in the reverse order to install the DCs....use the grease to put the o2 sensor back in....you might have to wiggle them back and for to get the on the studs on the head....tighten those up first before you hook the exhaust back up...and you done...don't forget your doughnut gasket where you header and exhaust meet....and that's it....takes 30 minutes at the most.........

Good advice. Be sure you get the car as high off the ground as you can. And Anti-seize is your friend.
