Default DC Sports 4-1 header on Civic SI-- help please!

i've tried searching here and on the net.. i installed a dc sports 4-1 header on a friends '00 SI and like i assumed the header and stock cat need a gasket to make sure there's no leaks.. maybe it was just me, but i didnt see anything of the sort w/ dc's stuff and didnt really see one that i could remove and install from the stock header.. so im trying to figure out if there is one that goes there?... ur guys' help is much appreciated.. even if u dont comment at least bump it so that someone that knows the answer will c it.. thanx in advance--

There is a thick black round gasket that is suppose to be between the stock exhaust manifold and the cat. If its never been pulled before, chances are it got stuck to the manifold (stock header). Pry it off if its stuck and reuse it on the DC header.

Never re-use exhaust gaskets! You may get CO poisoning. Besides they're only a couple of bucks.

thanks, im sure i looked, but i was pretty tired that day, so .. oh well...

yeah i already kno it leaks.. u can hear it as soon as u get on it and when i took him to get an exhaust installed last weekend i noticed the exhuast leaking on the flanges... i was gonna try to tighten the bolts more, but from the beginning was kinda suspicious..

my hatch has the type r 4-1 and my lil bro did the footwork to find the donut for one of those-- he said it was a pain in the *** cuz the dealerships only had the american one..

good news.. i just got off the phone w/ my buddy @ honda.. $3.81 w/ my discount! thanks again fellas
