Default Need help installing CD player

I am trying to install a Aiwa Cd player into my 1992 Honda Civic and it wont work. I connected the harness wires and everything. my factory cassette works so i know it is not the Cd player. The CD players playys in my Chevy. I checked every fuse under the dash board and none are blew out. Can this be linked to the fact that my dashboard clock restarts to 1:00 and my factory radio resets to 87.7 everytime i start the car?

if its resetting odds are your 12v switched isnt hooked up or maybe crossed generally its the red wire on your wire harness make sure its all good

First off, there are 2 power wires for your radio....one is constant 12v, the other is switched power (ignition) There is a fuse for each one. Are you using a plug in wire harness, or was the harness in your car cut?? If you want a quick way to check your radio out, connect the red and yellow wires off your radio to the positive battery terminal in your car, and the black wire to the negative terminal in your car. If it works then you know you have something mixed up behind the radio. Go through all your fuses including the ones under the hood. Hope this helps a bit....
