When you go to get tires installed on them they have a little tool that screws onto the stem and then it gets pulled through. It just takes a second with the tool. I don't know if I would try anything else. They don't usually charge to do this.

Yeah you can buy a valve stem tool at like walmart I have one and I have put in lots of valve stems it is pretty easy. The tool is only a few bucks, and like everyone says all you have to do is put a light coat of dish soap on the rubber of the valve stem to act as lube and it will dry and then tread on the tool and pull it through till it snaps in to place and you should be done, and if you don't want to do it most shops will just pop them in for nothing before they mount your tires.

Just let the shop put them in when you get the tires on. I am assuming you don't have a tire mounter and balancer if you don't have a valve stem tool.
