Need help install cd player
Now before you burn me for posting in this forum know that i tried in other one and no one is responding. seems they all have a bed time or something.
I will state my delema:
when i bought the car it had an aftermarkt tape deck in it, so my wires are cut. and i have put an alarm in it.
so, when i unplug my battery to put the wires together, is my alarm going to freak out when i put it back together. what do i do when this happens?
is there any thing i should know before i undergo this project?

Whats the year make and model? I take it its not like an aftermarket cd player where you just stick the metal tabs in the sides and it pulls out? Might be some screws keeping it in, pull out the lower console and look up?

Re: Need help install cd player (92'si)
so nobodys got a 92 hatch with an aftermarket cd player in it?..... i have searched and looked and cant find any screws to unscrew, and no flaps to unflap. only thing i can think is that it might have thos metal things sticking out from the housing, you know around the unit itself. anyways please help guys.

Yeah nobody's got a stereo. Or maybe you're just too damn impatient waiting 2 hours for a response when you should give it at least 24. The screws are very obvious. Get some light in there and open your eyes.

Re: Need help install cd player (hatchi)
there were no screws. and would you want to wait to install a new cd player? there is no need to be rude.
apparently the installer just pulled out some of those metal fins on the housing of the tape deck. so i literally had to warp the tape deck to get the damn thing out. scratched up the dash a little but it was covered up upon installation of the cd player.
ahhh sweet victory
