need help identifying..
I know this has been searched.. but i cant remeber what there called.. or what my problem is...
i have a 94 gsr swap/gsr tranny.. when im shifting at 5-6500 rpm even with clutch all the way in.. only in 3rd gear its like a quick quick grind.. but it dont feel like a grind... anyone know what this is?

Your 3rd gear synchro is starting to go. It will eventually get worse and worse and eventually it will pop out of 3rd on turns and then it'll pop out all the time and then it wont go in at all.
Run Synchromesh through your car...the Pennzoil stuff IS the GM stuff, GM just purchases it, slaps their name on it and jacks up the price.
Put 2.3 QTS of that in there, and in a few hundred miles the grind will be gone. This is only a temp fix in the long run though.

is this syncromesh tranny fluid? is that what your saying? i just bought some of the honda oem tranny fluid.. but ill use this syncromesh stuff if thats what it is?

Yeah, use that and your issue will go away for a while, and then come back later down the road. Ultimately you will need to replace your synchro.

lol.. got it.. but do i just fill the tranny up with 2.3 quarts of it? and thtas my tranny fluid? oh i know... me and the uncle are gonna rip it apart.. hopefully go lsd and get my tranny rebuilt, then possibly if i still have enough money go fullsuspension..

Your trans takes 2.3 qts of fluid...so get three quarts. Get it in and drive, typically it takes between 50-1000 miles for it to work. But since its such a small grind, then it'll be gone in less than 200.
