stupid idea....
you will destroy the d tranny with your first power shift!!!
it is cheaper just to get an ls tranny.....the adapter plates are 900 bucks!!!
i have an ls tranny...im me for pricing!

D series trannies are not ment to take any huge forms of power. It's just not worth it, the B's are made out of better components.
Now I know some turbo D guy is going to contradict me, which is fine. But I will defend myself in saying D series trannies can be built to handle more power no problem, but when you get into that cost, you are better off buying a B to begin with.

Re: (necxoner)
never sen one for a b to d .... the need has never arisen for anyone to craft them....they are made to mount a B tranny to a H motor because, the H motor is powerful but the H trannies suck *** (they dont like power shifting at all)

Really now? Seems a D16Y8 tranny will hold 300+ hp NA powershifts with ease.

You said d16y8 tranny, probably where he got the d-series motor from. What did he do, get one of those adapters to put a y8 tranny on the F22?
Cuz there's NO way a n/a d-series can make 300 (**** 200 is hard enough, if even possible)

Dude just buy the tranny from Chad and be done with it. The b tannys are so much better as stated before. I purchased an IM for a b16 from him at the last H-T meet and he was a really legit person and has good prices. I would defiantly recommend him as someone who does good business.

I see that many of you have no clue what you're talking about!
I've actually been thinking about seeing if I could make a few of these for not much money available. Only because finding a hydro (or hell even a cable) B series tranny in my area is getting impossible. I don't think there would be a lot to it after comparing blocks.
