Need help with aftermath of 8 month storage!!!
So the over the winter, the condensation in the garage and salt in the snow brought in metal eaters and made my cam gears rust and the flanges on the header. I'm not worried about the header as i can fix that, but the cam gears worry me.
Can i sand it off and repaint? or should i buy new gears?

Depends on how bad the rust is. If it is just surface rust you should be find just sanding it down, you don't have to repaint them but you could if you want. If it's any worse than surface rust you'll need new gears.

how did that happen? I live in humid *** winter Quebec, my car was outside all winter long and my cam gears are just fine. My car didn't run for 5 months and it started right up, but my alternator did seize but i just got a rebuilt one for $120.
I hope you put stabyl in your tank, otherwise drain it.

Stabyl keeps your gas from going bad over time.
