Need help with 93 dx hatch!!(searched already...no flames please)
I am having problems getting power to my fuel pump. I have tried swapping
numerous parts from my bro's 93 hatch (such as the fuel pump, main relay, ecu, NEW battery and fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator). I know I'm probably looking in the wrong place and was wondering where else I should look. Oh yeah, I have a solid CEL that never goes off. Any help would be greatly appreciated

have you try to check the wiring? get the dvm and check for continuity of the wiring.

DVM=digital volt meter
yeah check contiuninty from the main relay to fuel pump and so on.
here try this (I'm not sure if this is the right article my computer doesn't have adobe on it yet) http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/C...7.pdf
I think it has something about troubleshooting the fuel pump

Check your grounds on the motor..... if you dont have a good ground the pump will not work... i had this prob with an H22 in to a 95 civic swap, i just had to add a ground on the trany side and the pump worked...... sooo try this...

since the CEL is solid ALL the time....i am unable to put the paper clip in the diagnostic plug. Like i said, i have swapped a working fuel pump, main relay, ecu, fuel pressure regulator, spark plug wires. The car cranks, but doesn't turn on. All I know is no power is getting to the fuel pump. Could the distributor, or starter cause the fuel pump to not get power????? But.......I will try to add a ground on the tranny side.....I will let you guyz know.... THANX guyz

so it is solid even when the ignition is turned off? to check the CEL code, plug a paper clip into htat brown plug, and then turn the ignition to on...the CEL should start blinking. but if that doesnt work, then I have no clue

Re: (dmbmalaka)
It could be distributor....I was having this same problem yesterday and i changed the whole distributor (along with ignition coil) and the fuel pump (because after changing just distributor fuel still wasn't pumping adequately enough) and I also got a full tune-up and valve adjustment. Car runs perfectly now. Check your distributor....not just cap and rotor...

This is why you need to get the code. If you can't and it's just solid, either a bad ecu, or your ecu wiring is seriously messed up. This is the cause of your problem, unless you can get the code.
