Default Need advice on Refing my car *searched* help!

Can anyone help me out please?

I've searched and found many things that have answered my questions. However there's still some things I have no answers for yet....

I have a 92 civic cx with a jdm b16a that I'm wanting to get ref'd.

Mods include: 2.5 piping, with new cat, new RS-R Exmag, Eg airbox with acura intake arm, fuel pressure regulator, aem cam gears, dc carb legal headers, and a usdm p30 running obd1....

The head is stamped from 1991, would that be a problem since the car is a 1992? The ecu is off a del sol, and the intake manifold is a jdm one... what's the nipple everyone adds (pics anyone?? ) or should I run another intake mani???....Any suggestions would help a whole lot! Thanks in advanced!

you cant run the fuel pressure regulator and the cam gears when you go to the state ref. it is altering the smog equipment. and for the nipple, you have to add one to run the evap purge solenoid. hit me up if you need help doing it i am located in san jose. i've done many swaps that passed bar before and im smog certified

and for the head being 1991, you should be okay. just tell the ref you are reffing it as a 92 motor. because 1992 cars are sometimes manufactured the year before

FPR and gears have to go like FMR said. The head stamp is going to be 100% up to the ref. If he wants to be a dick youll fail, if his cool youll pass. Because 91 heads are still obd0 motors, or some BS like that. Other then that PRE TEST! I cant recommend this enough, make sure you could pass a regular sniffer with flying colors before you go to the ref, itll save time and headache. Also make sure no codes.

Is the IM obd1 or obd0? If its obd0 youll have to change that to obd1, at least the TB will have to be. If you could get away with the obd0 IM then one of the ports for that solenoid thats on the TB (dont know the name) could be used as your vac source for the evap.

The intake manifold is obd0... I can use the 94 gsr throttle though. I just talked to a friend of mine, he said the refs require the year stamp to be newer or same as the chassis it's going into....

I'd hate have to redo it all over again on a damn stamp...hahaha

I'm sure I can get the IM conversion done... just need the nipple.

Because your car is 92 thats why the 91 is boarder line. Reason being is that motors are stamped before cars. Example 92 motor will be in a 93 chassis. But in the end it depends on that ref if he wants to let that slide.

Good news... I got a call from someone at the State ref....

Regarding the stamped year, he said what they do is match it to which ever combination would have came in newer models. In this instance, a 94 Del Sol, DOHC vtec. The exhaust won't be a problem as long as I have the catylictic on... make sure all of the wiring and everything else is done taken care of and clean. I plan on, in the next few weeks take out the swap comlpletely and clean and redo everything...wires, sensors, cleaning the gunk....everything. I'll try and make it my "State Ref Build." Hopefully it helps someone out there in a similar situation...
