My Tranny Just Blew Up!!!!!
So I was about to go to santa monica to go get myself some shoes so im driving along with my fiance and make a right turn. Start off at first then to second and when I hit third I let go of the clutch slowly at about 3500 rpm and it felt like I hit hit something. I was like what happened I thought my motor mounts gave way and my engine fell but I pulled over to the side and I look back and a bunch of oil is in the street. I look under and its gushing out I move my shifter and three pieces about a handful fall from the tranny. I dont know what the hell happened but I have an idea it was my clutch act hdss. Anyways im getting a itr or ctr tranny in a month or two. but from now on I have tor ride the bus All this happened under 35 miles.

Probably main shaft bearing. Same thing happened to me, but I was on a pizza delivery [back when I worked at the ghetto fabulous Domino's in Jonesboro]. Ended up being the main shaft bearing slung itself to ****. In turn, that blew out the main shaft seal, which caused oil to leak out of the tranny case and onto my clutch disc, destroying it too.
Now when I first hear the rattle of the main shaft bearing, it's out with the tranny and a partial rebuild.

Actually I had my b16 del sol tranny blow a month and a 1/2 ago....blew the spider gear right out of the transmission...lets just put it like this....the hole is big enough to fit my hand in....funny thing about it....it still runs!....even though i stopped driving it...I mess around with it up and down my side street where 4 houses are....but I just ordered a new one...if your in need a new tranny...get ahold of a guy named "cheetah" on this board...he has 2 b16 hydrolic trannys right now
