Default My tires are rubbing abnormally

well they do rub on the fenders.. but thats an easy fix....

but my situation is one i havent seen before...

im tucking about 1/2 inch of tire on 195, 55, 15s. on 96 GSR Starfish rims

im rubbing on one of the seamwelds on the bottom of the actual framerail that runs by the shock tower and what not.. basically the part where your fender bolts too.. its tearing my tire up.... and im really not even that low.... let me know if anyone else has had this problem... ill go take pics if someone needs them

it has nothing to do with the camber..... its directly above the tire...

had same problem with my 96 ek, i had to take the tire off an use a hammer an bang the seam flat on both sides end of problem. its not the matter of bein to low when you hit hard bumps the suspension goes up an down so the tire hit the seam so i use to see the tire cut right in the middle

I saw a thread about this before. People removed the wheel and took a hammer and hit on the seam so that the sharp part of it would point upward and not tear up the tire.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're rubbing on the sidewall of the tire on the inner side of the actual fender? Not the fender lining. If that's the case, you're offset is wrong. What is it+35, +30mm? Also, your tires have too much sidewall for the amount you're dropped. Look into getting a 50mm sidewall tire.

usually the control arm hits the seam b4 the tire does.... i've seen ppl cut the seam at 1.5"intervals, then hammer them flat
