my swap is done and i'm damn excited about it
hey guys my swap is finally finished after 5 days of frustration and bad moods. i bought the gs-r tranny seperately for my b18b and when i got it the slave cylinder bolts had been damaged in shipping so i had to fix that. then we got the entire swap done in like 3 days of somewhat light work and go to test drive it and as soon as we got above 3000rpm it popped outta gear....we determined it to be the clutch so we took on again the new task of the clutch install which we were all new with. last night at 1:45am we rolled it out of the garage just praying to the car gods that the bastard ran.......and it did. although i now have to JBWELD the stabilizer where the bushing for the shift linkage goes becasue we tried to put too big of a bolt in......its running fine and i'm so freakin excited about it that i figured i'd tell you guys about it because its my first remotely fast car and my first swap.

I noticed a big difference when I put my LS in my 94 dx. Of course, I am running open header and I am stripped, but going from running 16.5's@82mph to being dead even with my little brother stock 03 WRX from a roll is fun. I will be getting track times this weekend if it ever stops raining in the southeast

its in a 93 cx....heres the specs:
completely gutted rear
black leather gs-r seats(yeah i know it could be lighter but i'm thinkin about keeping them cuz htey match the eg6 steering wheel)
LS swap with gs-r tranny
no a/c
short ram intake
apex'i n1
is it fast......well i havent completely cut her loose yet but i can only imagine what its going to be like. i literally just finished htis morn at 145 so i'm still makin sure she's running good before i go rip her a new one. i'll tell u one thing though, i no longer have to downshift to get power.....i was rollin home last night and going about 60 in 5th, i decided it had a lot of power w/o downshifting so i got on it.....i was at 100mph faster than i believed....i drove home the rest of the way with a big phat smile that wouldnt leave my face like the first time i got laid.......

haha i'll have pics once i put a few more thousand into it. haha maybe then i'll be able to spend money on something else besides my car. i bought it for only 1400......i still need to replace the cracked windsheild, get rid of this hideous (sp?) blue dash, body work and paintjob, cf hood and duckbill, put on my wheels, and then i'll buy a camera. on hte other hand i'll just borrow my friends....lets see if i can get em on here
