Hey guys... I did search and everything i found, i tried... i checked for fuel, spark and the fuses... not sure what else it can be.... its a 93 eg hatch with a b16 swap in it... not sure if it's the timing or what.... by the way by looking at the cam gears where is the alignment marks supposed to be at TDC? Did u just recently do an ignition tuneup? I did this to my 97 Civic, look at the dizzie. There is a small spring in the internal side of the coil in a tower like progection. Did you bend or lose it?

so what do u have?

fuel pressure?spray carb clean it to intake mani
spark?
compression?

heres a link to setting up ur timing belt its same 4 b16

http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...t.php

if u have fuel, spark and compression (spark plug wires in correct fireing order)
more likely its a bent dist. shaft or mess up crank angle sensor

Ok. You DO get spark. Get some starter fluid and spray that into the throttle body to see if it'll run.

that's what i thought also but i'm not sure how that will work since it's fuel injected... also i took out the plugs and they were fouled out.... so i know there is fuel getting to the cylinder....

Almost 100% a ground missing somewhere. Could also be a dead starter. Check the fuseboxes, the tranny, the valvecover, etc. for grounds.

Yes i checked that, you can hear the pump come on and i get fuel out.... i get fuel, spark, now the only thing that should be missing is air to get the combination to work... and i know it's getting air... so i don't understand....

Check your distributor wires and do a compression test. Make sure all is at TDC as well.

Distributor is as follows (looking directly at it):

3 4
1 2

If you are getting spark and fuel, and the starter is spinning the motor, then all you need is compression and the spark in the right order

I'll tell him to do that but he said it ran fine when he parked it... it's just that the next morning the damn thing wouldn't start? do you think even though the it ran fine the night before that the comp. could still be bad?

carb clean is only $10
if u spray it in the throttle body while cranking the motor it should start if u have a fuel problem

(hopefully ur friend didn t put desil fuel in his car)

i know it sounds dumb, but did you just visually test the fuses? Because i've had a blown fuse before that LOOKED fine but was still bad, test them all with a multimeter or something. you may have flooded the engine as well, you can remove the sparkplugs and let it dry or turn it over to spray it out (i think)

good luck. Just check everything, then after you do that a few times i'm sure the problem will be right under your nose!

GOOD LUCK!
