MY FIRST CAR EM1
Wassup honda-tech.com ive been lurking for a while now and now im on the trial thing.
Let me share my little story with yall first i was going to buy a 99' ex with 100k on it mint condition for $7500 i was on the way to get it all depressed because it was a rip off but i needed a car bad to get to school. on the way there i seen my car at a lot and bought it right then and there. lol kinda dumb but yea too late.
To be exact its a 99' ebp si. It has a b18c1 block with a b16 head; poor man type R right? let me say this the motor is hella strong. I bought my babe for $3500 with a clean title, well the lot said that; its in the mail. Its been wrecked i can tell its been painted and its had some weld work you can see in the engine bay and it has a red driver door but painted. It sure has its share of problems. The shocks are blown. With the help of the people at Houston-Imports.com i deceided to put some tokico illuminas with matched tokico springs off ebay for $460 to my door, currently being shipped. I think it needs some suspension bushings as well. Theres no a/c or power steering everything is there for it except the belts so well see if that the only problem to it. It has a CEL of a 02s/heater malfunction. It needs some paint in the front but ill wait until I paint the whole car. The climate control needs to be replaced. Then fan when you turn it on makes crazy noises so i took it off near the glove box and sure enough it had a screw in it. But it still makes it. The window regulators need to be balanced and it needs new window motors and moldings. The engine bay is pretty ghetto rigged. But with the $3000 i saved from buying the Ex i figured i could get this thing running perfect. Let me add im 18 and this has been my dream car.
