my cat is mad at me
once my car is warmed up, there is a god awful squeeking noise, which i pinpointed to my cat. it seems like the sound is actually coming from inside the cat, in the back part of the cat.
i can shake the exhaust and i can make the squeek happen, but what the hell is it??? do i need a new cat??? it isn't the usuall rattling noise like when a cat goes out, it is a really loud squeek. it gets worse when i slown down the car and on bumps too.
any help is greatly wanted, thanx!!!

i tried to tighten them down, but none of my sockets would fit on them, what freaking size is that???

Are your heat shields loose? Mine were making all kinds of racket and making me nuts. I ripped those f'ers off and haven't heard a peep from that thing since. I actually took it to a muffler shop to see if they would weld them back on. The guy smiled and told me to take them off.

i think i have the same problem as you
when i stop hard, it shoulds like a busted cv joint, but its not
cause mine are perfect!!!!!!

yeah, lots of grinding sounds when i stop, i just replaced my axles so it cant be that, my cat is soooooo loud
