My 94 Si's Progress
Got the Civic back this weekend, complete w/ new motor (Stock D16Z6). Now its running like a champ again. Hopefully this one wont throw a rod through the oil pan.
Had to replace a flodded taillight...so I had to take out some inteior anyways...guess I got a little carried away.
The rear seats were in the way...so they came out. Along with the drivers interior quarter piece. While I was at it...the passenger side came out too. I took the interior trim off the lower hatch. Both rear speakers along w/ brakets were removed. I need to check local law before I remove the rear seat belts, but I dont think it will be an issue. I also need to order CX/VX rear hatch glass plugs so i can remove the rear wiper assembly.
Anywas I got so caught up in tearing the little Si's guts out...I forgot to take 'before' pictures. I did snap a few after pics though:
Both rear quarter interior panels.
The rest of the Junk...Complete w/ 6 lug spare (buried) WTF? Good thing I still have my old Celica steelies in a compatible 4x100 pattern.
New and Improved Naked ***...albeit dirty
More stripped hatch glory
And the required [not so] beauty shot. See the nice tear in my bumper? I also have to fix the passenger corner light bracket.
Theres lots more work to do before it goes into the paint shop for a new facelift. Lots of little stuff to order fom Honda. Then a fresh coat of Electron Blue Pearl. Then the engine swap can begin.
As of now I have a knockoff mugen strut bar, OEM front bumper cover, mugen style front lip, and a DC Sports 4-2-1 Ceramic header on the way.
I really didnt wanna buy the header, but after learning of the D16's tendency to crack OEM exhuast manifolds every 30k(or at least more often then it should) miles...its a good investment.
Only owned the car for 3-4 weeks...I think its coming along allright. Opinions?
=EDIT=
Couple more shots RIGHT after a quick wash.

Re: My 94 Si's Progress (Si.Hatch.92)
Nah...needs washed, waxed and such REALLY bad. Bought the car in so-so condition w/ a worn out motor.
Fixing it slowly. As it comes closer to factory fresh...I post more pictures.

I don't know how you guys can drive around with no seats or panels the in rear. It's loud as hell... and fairly pointless for daily driving...
Anyway, good luck with your car.

Re: My 94 Si's Progress (SkyeC)
I kept everything, took it apart gently. So if i dont like it I can put it back together. I just wanted to see what the big deal is with stripping the rear section, and if it makes a big difference.
The spare alone weighed 30-35lbs (it was from some other car)...along with all the other stuff It should make a noticable acceleration/handling difference.
The rugged look is kinda sexy anyways. Looks like all business to me.

Looks like it is coming along, I took out my rear seat and belts also. But I didn't like the way it looked with out the moldings so I left them in.

Re: My 94 Si's Progress (hybridreams)
Well, im keeping the Interior for now. At least until I decide what im gonna do with the car just yet.
After I figure out how I want the interior...I might part w/ some stuff.
The headlights and corner are from ProCarParts.com, $150-$180 for the 4 lens set, And its a good product. It has ports for citylight install as well.
Got stuff coming, and once I sell my other car, this project should start moving alot more quickly.
Anyone know anyone that wants a 2002 cavalier that does mid 13's, full interior?
