Finally got around to snapping a few pics of the primered interior. That is 1 light coat, 2 heavy coats, sanded with 600 grit and then 2 more heavy coats which will be sanded with 800 grit prior to base coat.

Removed rear seat mount and spare tire mount. All holes will be welded and bondo'd.

Thanks, I hate the priming and painting stage because I am too OCD. Everything has to be perfect. I am actually getting the engine bay redone with the rest of the car.

A few quick pics of some of the shaving and welding being done in the engine bay, I know the welds aren't pretty I had a 20 minute intro on how to use the welder last night and then I was left to myself.

Dropped my gas tank to strip and recoat it.

Very cool. I'm jealous of your 20 minute weld lesson. I have to learn it sometime. No better way than practice, right?

Exactly, I was left to my own and I sucked really bad at first so I left and cleared my head then came back and slowly got better.

Thanks man. The big Honda box had the ball joints, wheel bearings and RRC manifold in it, I just noticed how those pictures seemingly blend together.

Nice build can't wait to see the final product. I had to buy my EG hatch already done and setup to track. Wish I had the time time to build it on my own.

Thanks man, im sure it will be rewarding to know that I did it all once it's done but for now it is a pretty big headache.

Nice build man. I think a lot of us feel this way. Working on the car can be extremely frustrating, but it really pays off when you get something really cool done and end up with a great finished product.
