muffler question
I have an aftermarket muffler on my car. I want to replace it. Will a GSR muffler be modified to fit my 96 Civic? Also will an EX or SI muffler fit it aswell?

Re: muffler question (fsufreak08)
Any muffler could be modified to fit on your car. Shoot, you could modify a chevrolet corsica muffler to fit your car! But that would just be stupid. Answer to your question, if you can hang it and clamp it to your exhaust it will work. But what car are you doing this to? And if you are going to replace the muffler with a GSR or EX or SI muffler, why not just get a stock replacement for your car? Because honestly, even if the GSR or SI exhaust's are bigger than your exhaust, you arent going to get any performance gains out of just using the muffler off of a better breathing car, you gotta go a little further than that.

Re: muffler question (fsufreak08)
i've got a GSR muffler on my 96 coupe. bolts right up. the only diff. is that it flows a little better and the tailpipe is a few inches shorter (i just have the chrome tip slid out to the edge to make it look normal...) but just like most integra parts, it's a direct fit.

Re: (fsufreak08)
The Ex or Si should work then. Try it, if it dont work then take it back. But you cant find a Dx muffler? I find that very odd, being it is a very popular model. The Autozone where I live has 2 in stock at all times. But yeah, the Ex or even Si should work. GSR too (read 2 above).
