Default Motor ?or well kinda

i know this probably dont belong here, and i kno that i should just call up some places....but how much do you think a shop would charge to take my motor apart and clean it because the person that had it b4 hardly ever changed the oil and now its all caked up inside of it.....I dont know if anyone remembers it but i posted pics a while back of it, it was pretty nasty well all help will be apprciated

Go to Valvoline and get their "Three-Part". It'll fix just about 100% of that and it'll clean up your valves and TB too. It's about $60.

Could just be cheaper to swap another longblock in. Go to a local machine shop and see what they tell you.

everyone says the cleaning stuff messes up gaskets or something like that and it wont last much longer after that.....yea i was thinkin it prob would be cheaper just to find a d16 with less miles and taken care of better then mine for about the same price but im not for sure

Some people say that all it will do is eat it off the top end of my motor and will just clog the buttom section of it up but idk im not that good with hondas im still learning

Transmission fluid is basically motor oil with more detergent. There was also a thread yesterday about sea foam. You should search that.
