well here is a general rule of thumb with HMO...
if you are local (socal) and can go pick up your motor in persnon, go for it.
if you are far away, and the motor needs to be shipped to you, there are better options out there (importautosalvage.com)

my friend got his motor from them. clean well done and nothing was screwed up. sometimes you have to pay for the quality stuff and i think a motor is one of those times.

I give HMO Me and both my friends have bought motors through them. Steve is a great guy and offers great customer service (all though sometimes he gets really busy and has a hard time getting to the phone). As for their motors, the 3 that I have seen (me and my 2 friends) they were spotless. They do a great job steam cleaning and prepping the motor. I agree, they swaps aren't as "complete" as IAS (they give you a bag of bolts, catalytic converter, etc...), but HMO does include everything you will need to do a direct replacement. And for HMO shippng....it depends on the week you order. Shipping can take as long as 2 weeks, but can be as short as 2 days (West coast to East coast for me took 2 days). Overall, I would recommend HMO. Also, if you have broken parts on your motor (I recieved a motor with bad MAP Sensor and Ignition Coil), Steve sent me out replacement parts free of charge by Next Day UPS Air Mail

I had a buddy buy a b18c5 from them for his crx we put it in the first tranny went out in 2 days every forward gear gone they gave him another for free but he had to pay shipping
2 Months later it spun 2 rod bearings and a crank bearing they would not replace it
May have been from his dirving not sure
It was really clean when we got it though it looked good every company has problems once in a while I guess

Both HMO and IAS sell very clean Engines that are complete
I have had A personal Prob with Larry Jr (IAS)
In the ~10 engines We have Installed from HMO Not one was Dirty, Or incomplete!
