Motor debate LS or single slam ?
Here is the situation I am in.
I have a D15B Vtec. It's a daily driver. it's nice to have something to go fast, and fun, but with this car doesnt seem to important to me as I have a Ford that Ive built up and will be the fast car.
Basically the Rings are done for in the Single slam. If I took the motor apart Iw ould want to totally freshen it up, all new seals, bearings, rings, and hone.
I came acrossed a good deal on a stock LS motor that was said to have been rebuilt 20K ago.
It was told to me by one of my friends that
Integra ls = Civic Z6 Was said that the LS isnt anything better than my single slam. That I should just rebuild the signle slam and boost it.
STOCK LS DC= 16.00 at 71 mph
STOCK Z6 EG= 16.02 at 70 mph
What are your thoughts ?

Yeah honestly, this topic is so killed.
Read this thread and decide for yourself:
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/how-do-ls-motors-feel-2478028/
The last thing h-t needs is another engine debate. You can find atleast 50 more threads like the one I pasted above if you use your search button.

Rebuild the D series. D series are sooo under rated, ya they might not have ''two cams'' but be diffrent not just another ls swap.... just my .02, not wanting to start a D vs. B war, lol

Re: Motor debate LS or single slam ?
so u got a LS. U should have boosted the SOHC :/
But LS's are nice for boost anyway. 9.2CR. U can run ~10PSI on a T3 with a good tune no problem.
