Im going to laugh my *** off when they find your car in a ditch on fire... smartass kids. But in all honesty, you have a lot of options. Just like JDMtuner said... cams, pistons, port/polish the head/manifold, springs/retainers, valve job. But you do live in Cali so I say GL to you and your first time getting pulled over in that car. The moment you are asked, "can you pop the hood" by the cop your are screwed. Pretty hard to pass BAR on a JDM Type-R alone without swapping a handful of USDM parts, let alone passing it with a mild-moderate build.
