misfiring?? problems with my jdm itr swap
I picked up my car last week from getting the motor put in, didnt have as much money as I thought so I had to put a b16 ecu on the jdm itr motor (in my 99 si)
The car ran pretty good for the wrong ecu but then today I get on the gas...nothing for about a second then BAM the power kicks in and jerks the car, spins the tires, this happens everytime I get even past 1/4 throttle.
Do you guys think this is ecu related, possible a plug is loose and is misfiring
any comments are welcome
BTW once I get the money ill get a chipped ecu or p28 w/ uberdata

reset ecu then
check spark plugs first....then plug wires then dizzy....then check for loose connectors in engine bay

there are alot of ideas, if I would start writting what could cause this missfire, this page would be really long.
search there are numerous threads covering this.
1. hooked up some sensors wrong
2. fouled spark plug
3. bad injectors
4. bad wires
5. ingitor going to ****
6. cap or some other ignition component started arcing possibly burned itself out
7. bad ground
8. bad fuel filter
9. o2 sensors old, or burned not cycling right
The best thing I could tell you is try to hook it up to the scan tool if somebody got one, you can most of the time just by looking at the sensor reading what's messing up.
EDIT: didn't read the thing about the ecu. That motor is prolly running pretty lean, so you don't want to drive around like that. Change the ecu ASAP. That's prolly your problem.

yeah One6 will prolly drag *** in fixing that thing. Nothing personal against One6 (great shop) but I would much rather take it to kwai if I had to have someone to work on my car.

the b16 ecu will not cause the itr to run lean!!! leaner than honda intended but not lean as to blow your crap up!!
