Ignition problem with d15b
Alright, I just swapped a jdm d15b into my '92 cx hatch and I am having problems with spark. I had the ecu chipped and socketed by john at phearable.net and I am starting to suspect the ECU although I can't be sure b/c I'm not sure what the output signal (from A21 on the ecu) should be while the car is running/starting. I know what i think it should be but I can't verify that. The problem is that I'm not getting any spark to the plugs and I've eliminated everything else. I've tested the coils on the distributor, the ICM, and the TDC, CKP, and CYP sensors. I've also tested the plug wires and plugs. I am able to simulate the signal that a plug would get and I can make the plug spark. When I look at the input signal to the ICM from the ECU it goes to 12v (with the key on and engine off) then when trying to crank the car, the signal goes to 10v and stays there the during of the cranking. Anyone have any ideas? (battery voltage is good and it's getting fuel) I'd really like to put the ECU in another car to see if it runs but I don't know anyone here who has one.
