Default Misfire Issue - Please Help

Okay so i have been trying to diagnose this on a friends car for some time now...

Cylinder 4 has this nasty issue where it will stop firing. When it would do so we have checked a few things... at first we thought it was a faulty fuel injector (we scoped it) and it wasn't reading... so after changing injectors a few times (even swapped from cylinder to cylinder) it was still doing it. We even wired in a new fuel injector clip thinking that might be the issue.

Before winter we did a full tune up *plugs, wires, cap/rotor, etc.* and the car ran great from november to about now. now it is misfiring alot... we have noticed that if you pull over while the car is missing and unplug the spark plug wires 1 at a time and put them back in the car will run fine again.

anyone have any ideas? could this be a lazy o2 sensor? ahh its driving me crazy

the car is a 93 eg with a b18(ls) motor.

also i do have to say when the car is running it is good, runs clean healthy and strong no noises nothing. this is so frustrating though. any ideas????
