Mini Me Problem PLEASE HELP!
I just had a d16y8 head on a d15b7 block. All the hoses seem to be right, and there are no check engine lights.... at all so the vtec and all the other crap are connected right... the problem is that the car rev's on its own from 1500rpms to 3000 rpms the whole time while its on when its idle... when i try to drive it white smoke comes out of the exhaust ... i think its coolant... and when i give it gas then throttle is normal....it seems like MAP sensor problem the way it surges fro 1500 rpms to 3000 rpms but we never messed around w/ the MAP sensor and theres no check engine light.... Im 100% sure that theres nuthin wrong w/ any of the sensors....I am using the z6 throttle body and intake manifold by the way... So if theres anyone that can help me i need my car running asap

I think that theres coolant getting into the motor due to the mixed coolant n vacuum lines ... If anyone can post pix of the intake manifold part of the engine bay it would be most helpful... for a 92-95 ex/dx/Si civic

Re: Mini Me Problem PLEASE HELP! (BauleyCivic)
Surging idle is usually caused by a vacuum leak or the FITV under the throttle body needs adjusting.
heres a link to a write up on how to fix it. Hopefully this all will help you my flip friend.

nothing with the sensors, are you sure? I think the MAP and the IACV would be the things to check, so go back and make sure that isnt the problem.
Then I think next would be vaccum leak

first clean out the iacv and see if that helps (take it off the back of the manifold and hose down the screen with carb cleaner), if that doesnt help, check to see if you bolted the head down with the head studs in the right sequence and torque, seems as if the coolant is burning off in the engine so you may be leaking at the head gasket seal
