Mini Me help!
Hello all, first post here and I have a question. Is anyone successfully running a D15B7 dizzy on their mini-me setup? If so how difficult was it to do? I know it would be much easier to just buy a Z6 or Y8 dizzy, but I'm trying to stay within my budget. Any help would be appreciated. I know the dizzy will only bolt up with two bolts, but I am wondering about timing.

Thanks man! I did and have found I can use my B7 dizzy, as I have a y8 head. If anyone thinks this is not correct, please speak up!

I have the d16y8 head on my d15b7 block and didnt have any trouble with timing or the distributor everything worked fine the only thing I bought that wasnt for the d15b7 was an ex timing belt and an ex head gasket because it is metal. The extra compression caused my rings to be twice as bad but after I changed them I haven't had a problem and I use mine for a daily driver.

The B7 distributor bolts up to the Y8 and A6 heads...
The Z6 head has its own distributor...you can make the B7 one fit by boring out the mounting holes with a dremel, although I do not recommend it.

The Y7 is the same as the Y8...so the Y8/Y7/B7/A6 all have the same dizzy bolt patterns...the Z6 is in a league of its own.

Re: Mini Me Help
Thanks for all the info guys! I'm thinking of sticking with a regular B7 gasket tho to keep compression down a little (head is already planed .010") Wondering how the gasket will stand up to the extra cylinder pressures. Any idea?

still wierd, cuz the y7/8 heads look just like the z6,
but I guess thats just the valvecover,
where the dizzy bolts up isnt really connected...
