I'm thinking........no, for the same reasons a zc head wont fit on a d16 block. It will physically SIT there, but stuff doesnt line up I dont think. If you are willing to ghettofy the **** out of your car and blow head gaskets and leak engine fluids all over the place just by having the car run, do a search for user name "baseballinmyass" and see how YOU can truely have a ghettofied engine. Dont forget your duct/electrical tape!

Here you go.

You can put a ZC head on any d16 block. There has recently been a write-up on how to do it. It might not be the most efficient combination, but it works.

Why would you want to do this?
I was under the impression that a d16/Vtec=127hp, a ZC=130hp and a mini-me=130hp.

Well, it doesn’t matter, good luck.

okay here's the clarification.....

93ex comes with d16z6 not d16b
there is two ZC's DOHC and SOHC.....

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by insanitycivic93 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">will a 93 ex d16b vtec head fit on a civic 1.6 zc non-vtec motor</TD></TR></TABLE>

DOHC has 130hp
im sure he is talking about SOHC

SOHC ZC has
108 HP @ 6000 RPM
100 POUNDS OF TORQUE @ 5000 RPM
COMPRESSION RATIO IS 9:1:1

d16z6 has
125 bhp @ 6600
Redline: 7200 rpm

The Mini Me Swap would be a great boost for flow, even without the vtec enabled... i have a friend that has a ZC/VTEC same combination with very low compression 7.5:1 in a 91 hatch cable Si tranny and eats all stock EX's, dx's,lx's,hx's and even some worked ones... with this swap it is very unexplanable the difference it makes..but thats why they call it a frankenstein because you put parts together and get a greater outcome... i have a 97 LX/Vtec and i would recommend it to anyone looking for a pretty inexpensive swap if your going to do the work yourself...
