I am not too familiar with your engine (or Honda's for that matter) but I was wondering which cam is off? Intake or exhaust? Is it retarded or advanced a tooth? And how many degrees is a tooth for your cam gears?
A tooth won't hurt your valvetrain (as in, no engine damage) but yeah it won't run as well.

it will slip another
then you could be in serious trouble.
you need to fix it asap.

It didn't slip... he changed his cams and he screwed up when he put it back together.
