Default metal cover on tranny question

94 civic hatch cx. jdm d16a sohc vtec. usdm ex/si tranny
when i went and install the motor i forgot to put the metal sheet cover thing that is located under the motor that covers part of the flywheel and clutch on the tranny. if you look under my car right now you can see part of the flywheel.
question is would this effect anything serious?? would it throw my speed off in any way?(cuz i'm having a speedo off problem as well)

I dont think its going to throw your speed off. I have the same problem, but i know for a fact that by not having that cover, **** CAN get in there fuxor your clutch, tranny, etc. Im going to go to a junk yard and look for it, should be pretty cheap.

There are usually a few bolts that hold it to the tranny as well as a few of the oil pan bolts that hold it on, but I don't think you have to remove the tranny.

You'll just have to wiggle it and force it in there somewhat. No way you'd have to remove the tranny.

I went without that shield on my car for 2 years.. its just a dust shield. You will be fine a few days without it..
