Default Melted a piston (bore or hone?)

Ok i had a big *** nice layout of my problem and than honda tech ****ed up so im a just make it short.

i was sent the wrong piston size which i wanted 75.5mm so i could bore / hone my block and this was on ebay so im kind of screwed. I dont have any pictures but 1 of the cylinders has white residue at the top from the piston melting... and its real ruff. it doesnt look like it scrathed the walls it just looks like the piston melted onto the cylinder wall because its raised when i slide my finger over. id take a picture but its at the machine shop. im waiting for hes input but i also wanted your's... btw its a d16y8 on stock internals at like 140,000miles only boosted for 4,000miles... Replacing with vitara 8.5.1 pistons... Pictures of what i have below...

and this pic was 5days before the piston melted... We were replacing the head gasket and the timing belt.

well what size vitara's do you have? And ask your machine shop what they think. They might just tell you to overbore but thats because its more money. But just ask them and see. They will tell you if the walls need to be bored or not. How did you end up melting a piston in the first place?

if you have the pistons, just overbore. never costs me much at the machine shop.

then dont bore? They should be able to fix walls without boring them.

thats what im hoping because i no if i ask them they will say oh yeah we can fix it just to make money off me and than ill have problems down the road because even tho if they can hone out my melted piston cylinder. i heard vitara pistons 75.00mm standard bore are actually .004mm smaller than stock pistons and on top of wear and tear for 140,000miles im afriad ill have to much gap between my cylinder and piston. i can deal with piston slap i dont care about that as long as ill be ok with oil / bypass and not messing up my clinders. im looking towards 330whp and boosting about 19-20psi

Take pictures of the cylinder in question. If you can feel any grooves in the walls, you will need an overbore for sure. Also, I would have a machine shop check for out-of-round in those cylinders if they have 140k miles on them. You may want to just pick up another set of Vitaras and sell the ones you have. You may lose a bit of $$, but its better than ruining an entire engine setup

ya they are a little smaller. I did STD bore in my setup (vitara/scat/acl). I had it honed, cleaned, decked, micropolished crank, blueprinted weighted and balanced, and i had the head cleaned and the valves calibrated since the head was basically new anyway. It will be fine, as the pistons are cast aluminum they will expand a little bit when boost hits. idk how ur machine shop is but @ the one i bring it to they are very helpful and if they do it they guarantee it.
