Re: make itr reat seat fit in a ek (ekin)
EDIT - this for ITR seats in a 96-00 hatch
I tried to do a lot of research one this & this is what I came up with...
dc2 R seats (2dr) the bottom bench section will leave a gap on both sides...which there are three solutions to:
1.) the best solution is to use the bottom section of a 4dr ITR (chassis code db8) this will fill the gap...major drawback is the back section of the 4dr ITR is all one piece (ie no 50/50 split) - NOTE this is most likely going to be more expensive because you will have to purchase a db8 ITR rear seat & a dc2 ITR rear seat because NOBODY sells the top & bottom separately (to my knowledge)...I have seen 4dr ITR seats on ebay as well as HT classifieds
2.)take the skins off the 2dr ITR bottom section & put them on the Ek bottom section of the seats. I remember reading of only one member who did this & it took them several hours. by doing this you will eliminate the gap but the red stiching will not line up on the edge of the seat
3.) use the dc2 ITR bottom section like the link posted above (merritt) & deal with the gap
for the back portion the BEST way would be to
1.) take the skins of the ITR seats & put them on the Ek's seat backs...looks good no major draw backs (to my knowledge)
2.) just use the ITR seat backs & you'll get a 'lil gap like shown in the pics above

Re: (jonas)
the rear itr bench will fit with slight gaps on either side. fill in those gaps with black stereo carpeting. the rear itr backs need to be modified by swapping the skins from the itr onto your stock ek backs. a little time consuming, but in the end you're itr/ek backs will fit oem
