Default Major leak somewhere...Passenger floor soaked. help.

My friend has a 92 hatch.
he got into a accident hitting the passenger side corner first a while back
now he has this leak, that we cant figure out.

his passenger side floor gets soaked...it goes all the way back to the rear pass floor.

when they replaced the windshield, there seems to be a gap along the bottom from the rain gutter plastic thing...he taped it off thinking it was from that...but it still leaks.

its not fromt he doors, could it till be from behind the dash cuz of the windshield?

How hard was the car hit? I would suggest looking at the heater core. Easy wasy to check is to get a pressure tester. And put it on the radiator. Turn your heater on and see if the floor board starts to get wet.

check that the drain holes in the sides of your car arent clogged and the little plastic doo hickies that are under your hood near your windshield. my old g2 teggie leaked water on the driver and passenger side everytime it would rain cause of that

i dont know what he replaced, but ill find out.

this seems like more the problem, but im guessing the water is running in from behind the dash down the firewall and into the floor board?

If not them things listed above....try checking the ac hoses/lines that goes thru the firewall on the passenger side. O rings might have to b replace.

Had the same problem couple of months back, but mine was on the driver's side. We stripped out the interior and did a full leak test, found out that water would dip in through the firewall.

92-94.5 Civic TSB

The sealant around the hood hinge area is crap. Has been known to short out ECU's on occassion.

Just what my Honda mechanic and fellow autoxer warned me about when I wrecked the front end and shifted the nose 4" in front of the shock tower.

No leaks yet!
