main bearing caps ???
does anyone here have a pic of what the main bearing caps look like or where they are located at. i got a gsr bare block and dont know what they look like or where they are? hope fully a pic maybe? i know i can not get new main bearing caps for a block because the ones that come with the motor are made for that motor so i want to make sure that i have the ones for my motor thanx guys.

oh brother. Honestly dude, if you don't know what this stuff is, you shouldn't be putting your motor together yourself.
But to answer your question. Your block should have 5 Main Caps and a Block Girdle across the center 3 mains.
The main caps are held on by 2 large bolts, one on each side. Once you drop the crank into the block, you put the caps on, then the girdle on, then bolt everything down.
If you don't have a Helms manual, STOP EVERYTHING and GO GET ONE.
Blown ITR motor, busted cam cap bolts etc etc etc. You need to slow your roll a little and get the correct tools and manuals or pay a professional to work on your car.
