Who cares? Lugnuts are like 20 bucks.

Oh yeah, and I don't see any reason the lugs would be different as long as the lug pattern is the same, but who knows? They might be.

Why not just put the lugs on and see?

lugs work fine between alloys and steelies I use the same ones with my fat fives and my winter steelies.

Wrong.. Steelies require the ACORN shaped lug nuts. Aftermarket wheels like Rotas, SpOoNs Y0! require non-acorn shaped lugs. It's hard to explain without pictures. All i know is you should use stock-like lugs with your stock steelies and use after-market lugs (different shaped base) with your aftermarket wheels. It affects how the wheels are seated (sp?) with each kind..

I did a search and found this thread:

Ahh.. I didnt know you had STOCK allow wheels. The mating surface should be the same for stock allows and steelies, so you're right.. should be fine with stock lugs.

the hubcap should pop on after you bolt the wheel up and tighten the lugs (assuming they are stock). it is held on by clips, not the lugs, so it goes on last.

actually factory honda lugs are a ball seat lug nut. they are rounded where they meet the wheel not tapered. all you need is the plastic retaining rins for the lugs. they just fit into the groove on the lug nut.

yeah dude i never knew how big a difference it could be till i started workin at discount tire. now if a vehicle comes in with the wrong lugs they have to buy the correct lugs or we cant put the wheels back on.

But now that I remember, America's tire co put a set of acorn shaped lug nuts on... you may need acorn shaped to fit inside the lip

which is nothing more than a plastic ring you can slip on and off. you can buy the hubcap retaining rings at the dealer.

there are 3 types of lugnuts that come on hondas. short ball seat, open ended short ball seat and long ball seat with groove for plastic ring.

you need the ones with the groove for the plastic ring. this allows the lugnuts to be torqued properly, and not pinching the wheel cover against the wheel.

post in the classifieds. i am sure someone will part with theirs cheap. i have 2 sets, but i need them for the cars for my winter wheels. sorry.

There is a difference but for the most part the one on the left is what you would want to use instead of the one on the right.

I had a set of the ones on the right for my LS/GSR mesh wheels and when I decided to sell and switch to steels. The ones on the right will not fit due to thickness difference between actual wheels and steels. The steels are thin and the lug will leave a space on the actual bolt.

And the most of the later generation of Civic hubcaps are required to go on before the lug nuts are placed on due to two lug nuts acting as both a holding point for the hubcab as well as for the wheel just as the other two do.

There are four...long ball seat with no groove for late model Accords, etc. with alloys. I use them on my HX's. Sweet. My buddy at the stealership had a whole drawer full of take-offs in his box.
