i am in the process in looking at going with a b series motor. i am looking at the b16b and b18c gsr. i also plan on boosting the motor and want high horse power
goals eventually. i like the ctr because its a basicly almost perfect setup. the gsr my biggest question is would it be worth it or not to get lsd. i plan on draging the car not road racing. any info would be help full thanks.

the extra 300 for the lsd was worth it to me. especially for drag racing.

This is a dumb question. If your gunna want a lot of horsepower you will need help gettin it to the ground. Get the lsd

its about $300 cheaper WITH the lsd.

Technicaly you can get away without a LSD by rapidly switching the wheel back and forth. This will lock the tires together somewhat, but ulltimately you will be best off getting a LSD.

HUH? Are you talking about tire wear? Thats like the least concern about having lsd or not.

No I'm not talking about tire wear, The purpose of a LSD is to keep all the power from going to the wheel with the least resistence. In a straight line, you can somewhat keep the power equally distributed between both tires by switching the wheel back and forth. This doesn't work around corners and doesn't take the place of a LSD, it only helps a little if you have trouble hooking up in a straight line.

the swap is about the same a $50 difference once i add in a intake for the gsr. it
is 250 and the intake i got now will work with the ctr. and i know it was kind of a dumb question but i just wanted some input on who all has lsd. i didnt know if a stock one was worth it or if i should just get the non-lsd and than get aftermarket lsd later on.

Get the LSD </TD></TR></TABLE>

No, not swerve, simply keep the power ballanced. Its nowhere near as good as a LSD, and helps less and less as the horsepower numbers go up.

Not only is it CHEAPER even w/ LSD but it's more boost friendly than a CTR motor. True high CR motors are hard to get tuned / aren't as boost friendly - though they're still VERY tunable to boost. Though the GSR is a lot more....friendly and accepting on boost, not to mention you'll have hella more tq. from a GSR on turbo opposed to a CTR on turbo (because the dis sux).

i have seen a few people on here say they have boosted there b16b and love it. but as i have been looking at it you probly can boost the gsr more than the ctr stock. so what intake should i buy than cause im looking at the aem hybrid intake and thats about 250. should i just get a cheep short ram for a gsr off ebay and call it a day. i already have a aem dry flow. i see that it is work buying a lsd with a stock motor. what i am looking at than is getting a gsr with lsd. what hp and boost and what turbo are you guys using on a stock gsr.
