Default LSD transmission

Im swapping in either a b16a or a b18c1 into my 94 ex. Is it worth the $300 for the lsd trans from hmo? Or should i put that money towards an itr header or cluth flywheel kit? What does the LSD trans exactly do that is different from the regular?

lsd, ensures that both front wheels are spinning at the same time. have you ever sceen a race and one car starts to pull to the left or right off the line? well he does not have lsd. some swear by it and some dont. i have a b18c1 in my civic and i have it in my car. so its all what you want.

i agree with curt, later down the road you'll wish you'd gotten it if you don't have it right from the start. all the hp you add later on will be better put down to the road with the lsd.

yea it's worth it. however, be warned that since you're getting a transmission with lsd that might suggest that who ever owned it prior to you might have ragged it out since thet too would have lsd for performance in mind. for example, my cousin purchased his b16a with the lsd option and it already had a three puck racing clucth that was toast, the motor ran well, but just be aware, of that.

the reason that I say that it's worth it is because, 300 is about the going rate of a used itr lsd anyways. Plus then you have to get a itr ring gear and then you have to get it installed and it's a huge pain in the ***.

Dam I would get lsd before I wasted money on a motor

Thats the only part(drivetrain wise) that made my car worth a dam at autox.
