Default ls vtec motor

i have a eg ,,i wanna put a ls vtec motor ,,im just wondering if its going to cost a fortune,,,and is it a bitch to do,,,or should i just go sir or gsr motor,,,and does anybody here know where i can go to do a ls vtec motor,,,im in the toronto area

a search yields wonders. i've heard of LS motors going for as little as 1200 USD. a b16 head can for around 4-700 USD. check this for the build-up info

1200? are you kidding? Hell, thought they went for wayyy cheaper than that. Please correct me if im wrong though..

Well you really only need the LS block, that can be had for as little as $400. Just to let you know, I paid a shop $4400 to build and install mine. That included new pistons, bearings, and oil pump. You can probably get it cheaper than that too.

No you are correct, I found several on http://www.car-part.com for less then $350.00.

i was referring to a complete LS swap. this includes the long block, axles, linkage, etc. you will need the axles and such to complete the swap.
