Default LS VTEC ISSUES!!!!!!!!!!!!

alright the deal is i have a 97 civic hb with b18c head, b20b block. (gsr hear, crv block) known as the crvtec or lsvtec take your pick. anyways when i bought the car, the throttle cable was NOT sitting on a mount but instead zip tied to a fuel line. The cable is from an acura LS for some reason and is too long. I cannot adjust the tension for 2 reasons, it is too long and there is no mounting bracket. the spindle where the cable is winded up is there on the throttle body. Ive called honda and acura dealers and honda specific shops but no one can help me.

some of the cables i have heard to use are...

99-00 civic si
97 civic hb
integ grs
94 del sol b16 vtec

as the list shows, people have a wide range of opinions. i also need the mounting bracket so that poses even more problems...if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate some feed back.

thanks,
steve

u can only use gsr throttle cable with gsr throttle cable bracket p72.. 99-00 civic si and 94 del sol b16 vtec and integra LS share the same throttle cable with is too long for your b18c1 head

b18c1 intake manifold is also known as p72 intake manifold and agian, there should be "P72" stampped at the back of the intake manifold
for example. the pic shown below is my ITR intake manifold and it stampped "P73"

No, cable won't effect idle if it has slack. I would start but cleaning the IACV.
