ls/vtec compression test results, need help analyzing
ok so my ls/vtec swap has been burning oil lately. i have been beating on it untuned on a basemap running shitting when i shoudln't have and i know it was wrong. well i got around to doing a compression test and this is what i found. first time was with no oil added to the cylinder, and it goes in order from cylinder #1 to #4.
First time:
240 235 225 240
then with a little bit of oil in each cylinder:
250 250 255 260
would you consider it a significant increase from when no oil was added to when oil was added, which would point to worn piston rings? or would you consider this probably something in the valves? im running untuned on a basemap with dsm 450s (getting stockers soon) so its been running hella rich. i changed the plugs today and also i noticed that when i shine a flashlight down the spark plug hole the piston looks like its a wrinkle black powder coated valve cover (no exaggeration, its got that much carbon buildup from running rich). im afraid to seafoam it because i dont know if there is carbon buildup sealing those piston rings. could the carbon buildup be causing some sort of problem here too? let me know thanks!
