ls/vtec accelerating problems can anyone help

Default ls/vtec accelerating problems can anyone help

ok so i have a 93 civic hb with a ls/vtec swap b18a1 bottom end and a b16 head so my car used to run like a champ and now out of nowhere feels like it lost quite a bit of power like it dont pull as hard as it used to the wierd thing is it works right when it wants to like ill be driving normal and it feels like its going nowhere then all of a sudden it starts picks up and runs like it used to i dont know what the hell is going on with my baby i even try launching my car and and the rpms just drop and picks up super slow before it used be a bat out of hell i just cant figure out whats going on with her can someone please help maybe give me some tips on what you think it could be i would really appreciate it thanks

Try checking the compression and coolant. Could be a blown head gasket. Or a vacuum problem. Hard to tell from the details given.

It's your fuel map, it's got a nasty hole, that's why you're unloading in 3rd. Unlengthen the injector pulse another millisecond, just tune the NOS timing, you'll run 9's





In all seriousness though..... hows your clutch?

sorry that was the best way i could explain it but ill try those when i get the chance i just hope it aint nothing to serious

check your spark plugs and change your fuel filter what ecu are you running

fuel filter is new and im running a chipped p28

what program is in the p28 more than likely if it is a "base map" it will be rich good on wide open throttle but sucks driving on the street my guess is that you fouled out the plugs check and replace with copper ngk and get a tune and adjustable regulator would also help.

be more descriptive boss, like when you don't have power, does it sound like misfiring?, or when you floor the car, the rpms don't rise? Any Cels?

for example, my d16y8 turbo would stutter around 5krpm, = not holding boost = blown head gasket
