Just watch the first 30 seconds. Really, is LS tranny that bad for B16A, other than the final drive and 5th gear? The final drive is def a prob cause the engine has to wind that **** up, with no torque. This is 1-2 and 2-3 at max RPM on B16.

When I think about it, it really doesn't drop too much, and first to second CAN stay in VTEC if you take it to 8500 (9500 on tach-tach is 1000 high)
It's the same as when I had my D16Z6 running on B16A ECU, since the LS/Z6 ratios are almost identical (3rd gear IS identical)
I'm thinking I could swap a 4.7 FD or custom 4.9 or better, and get a OBX LSD.

im also considering putting a higher final drive in an ls trans, though i would probably go with the oem 4.4 instead of the 4.1 in the ls tranny.
a lightweight flywheel will also help you rev up faster
