Hey My wife drives a 94 Integra LS and it has that non-vtec b18 in it... which Ive heard is great for boost... sounds fun... I wanna drop my zc out and put hers in mine since its already paid for... only problem is shes got the automatic one.... will I be able to do the b2d swap and use the d16 manual tranny with the automatic ls motor?

I drive a 98 civic.

No, its not going to work. You cant put a D-series transmission to your LS motor.

why don't you just convert the Ls to 5-speed? (clutch flywheel etc)

A LS tranny would run you about 200-500, not a bad investment but I think you may need axles too, unless you can swap the axles on both cars...?

thats what i meant about the clutch flywheel etc stuff. Im not sure if the auto axles and half shaft would work but it would be worth it. (if you ask me)

He an convert the motor by changing out the Intermediate shaft etc. But still his question was to make the motor work with a D16 transmission. Automatic or not that doesnt even matter anymore. B-series and D-series transmissions arent interchangeable, so he cant accomplish what he wants. What you can do is go buy a manual LS transmission and there you go.

Is the manual LS a prefered choice? Or would the gsr tranny be better to just get? And these can bolt up to where the automatic tranny was?

Does LSD come with any choices?

im pretty sure all gsr and itr transmissions are LSD and I always heard that automatic axles and manual axles were different too. and you'll need to get a manual ecu. also, either fabricate the linkage or order the linkage that would hook up to your car and the B series tranny. basically there is quiet a few things you need to pick up first.

GSR trannys are not LSD...an ITR is.

You'd probably want a GSR transmission, for performance, LS gears are longer. You'll pay more for a GSR though. Yes an LS or GSR manual tranny will bolt up to your LS motor.
