Default is this a problem

if i can get an LS motor from a 1998 LS can i use the rest of the swap from a 1995 LS and have it work. the reason im asking is because the 1998 is an automatic and i obviously want standard. I know there will probably be some wiring but i wanna make sure that the rest of the swap i.e. trans, mounts, shifter, axels, ecu... work.

Ive got a 1992 hatchback CX

yes even though the motor will be a 98 you can use the tranny/flywheel and everything from the 94.

You can swap the motor no problem, but you might run into some OBD2 snags, such as injectors/clips

He said 95

But as ralphie said, you can use just about anything from 94-98 as it's all interchangeable.

edit: Nevermind. What years did the integra go from OBDI to OBDII?

I think you're going to need an OBDI to OBDII conversion harness and an OBDII ECU, or a chipped OBDI ecu.

It's basically doing an OBDII swap because the motor is OBDII. The rest of the stuff is just nuts and bolts.

If you have access to the OBDI I would take that and get it chipped to run an OBDII motor. That way you don't have to buy a conversion harness.

I think OBDII motors have a few more sensors that OBDI motors don't have.

I don't know where you could get it chipped. PM Kenji, he does ECU chipping.

It might be easier to just convert to OBDII. You'd just need the wiring harness from the 98 and an OBD1 to OBD2 conversion harness.

do you know where i could get a conversion harness? and what exactly is a conversion harness?

Well from what you said before i could either do this obd1 to obd2 conversion or i could just chip my obd1 ecu?

ok this is getting more complicated than it needs to be. id like to stay obd1 since my car and everythin but the motor is going to be obd1. i dont need to worry about inspection. so what do i need to do to keep this car obd1 with an obd2 motor?

If I ripped out the body harness from a 1998 integra Ls, used the engine harness

and the motor( again the trans is automatic so it is useless to me) would all that

plug into everything else in my 1992 hatchback and work? again the big hurdle is

the obd1 to obd2 conversion i dont have any experience with swappin the obds so

please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!
