Default LS distributor question

Will an OBD2 B18B1 dizzy work with my B18A1 engine? I plan on running a P75 ECU which is OBD1 I believe, or do I need to get an OBD1 B18B1 dizzy?

they are all the same obd2 and obd1.. the only difference is the wiring.. obd1 had 2 separate wiring plugs where as obd2a has 1 big plug.. they all use the same wires.. you can actually cut and solder them to fit into an obd1 wire harness..

here you go buddy..

nope... all the sensors on the intake manifold are the same for a B series motor whether obd2 or obd1.. IAT and IACV. Same goes for the throttle body. MAP and TPS unless you have a single cam engine wire harness non-vtec then the plugs for the sensors will be different for a B series motor. Your going to have to swap plugs and solder it to the single cam plugs.. Like the IAT and the IACV.

What car do you have btw?

Oh yeah I forgot about Jdm and usdm.. The usdm usually requires more wiring as in emissions. Such as the evap purge solenoid. But since its Jdm then you dont have to worry about the extra wiring on the intake manifold. As long as you use a jdm ecu as well or an obd1 ecu. All usdm obd2a ecus will require the extra wiring of the sensors on the intake manifold. So I would avoid using the usdm obd2 ecus. But since your car is obd1, then your going to be using an obd1 ecu anyways.

As for a 93 civic.. is it an si model? or standard vx, cx etc.??? well if its the si model then your in luck.. You dont have to modify your engine harness for the sensor plugs to work. But if you want you can always get an obd1 gsr engine harness.
