Default Lowered em1 - header clearance issues

the previous owner of my car lowered it damn near to the ground, with a recent header installation I have serious clearance issues. I don't think I want to return all the way back up to stock ride height, but I don't want to ruin my new header either. I was thinking about either eibach pro series spring or blox competition (a lot cheaper). Thoughts/opinions/before & after pics would be very helpful. BTW I'll be putting on some 17x8's with a 205/40 if there's enough clearance, my 195/50 15's rub right now as it sits. THX

You won't get 17x8s under there. Your 15s only rub because you're too low and your suspension is too soft.

Koni/Ground Control combo. 450ish front/350ish rear. If you're trying to cheap out then get a set of Rokkors or Racelands.

New here to HT but I've had lots of different setups one thats cheap and has a really done me good with a nice ride coming from very bad Michigan roads with winter and has lasted along time for a good price and is noticable lower.

Is Skunk2 lowering shocks with Tein S-tech springs thats my opinion and rides awesome have never taken that setup to the track personally and I AM NOT SAYING ITS THE BEST JUST AN HONEST OPINION for the price however it is not adjustable.

What grumble said, Koni/Ground controls. My buddy has an ap2(S2000) with koni's and ground controls and it is maybe 2 inches off the ground IF THAT and with ME AND HIM in the car we can get on and off my driveway and my STOCK HEIGHT ferio scraps. That setup is really nice, not bumpy AT ALL, but it's also not super stiff to the point where it's uncomfortable though. We've done some minor drifting and some autoX(Nothing comp, just helped him get conformable with the car) and it's help up great.

I won't fit the 17's on lowering springs? or at all? I have considered factory springs but would rather have a slight drop. since it has been slammed for so long are my shocks probably shot now? the outside diameter difference. between the 15's and 17's is only .78 of an inch.

You can't even fit 15x8 without some serious fender rolling and pulling and serious negative camber. What makes you think you can fit a 17x8?

so I guess I'll stick with the wheels I have now...are there any little-to-no money way of lifting the front end up a little while I gather the funds needed for new suspension? I went a little over my tax return budget already and this is my daily driver.

What makes you want 17x8"s?

I wouldn't touch Blox with a stolen 10 foot pole.

You also need to unfuck your tire size situation. 205/50R15, 205/45R16, 205/40R17. Those are the correct +0, +1, and +2 sizes.

the reason i want(ed) 17x8's is because i already have them in my garage and figured better used than not. the way more important thing is not ruining my new header...i think we've gotten off subject here a little. i need a solution that is both quick and cheap. i do plan on eventually redoing the suspension eventually, however i need to drive my car in between now and then, without throwing money down the toilet

Ya, well going cheap IS kinda burning money. You'll just have to replace parts sooner... pretty sure 17" tire is more expensive than 15. Cheapo adjust cup/coilover is allover the net. Or just replace springs w/sport drop -.75"

Does the car have coilovers or lowering springs?

If you want something cheap and a little lower than stock a set of Tein S techs and KYB GR-2s/Tokico Blues should fit the bill.
