Re: lower tie bar question (GReddy SI)
Just take a look at the threads on either end. When you figure it out which way, spin the center bar as tight as you want. Then tighten the outer nuts.

I think he's asking do you tighten it by making it shorter or longer. I would imagine that you wouldn't really have to do much of either. I think that if you adjust it so the ends line up when you're attaching it all should be fine (unless there's a lot of slack in it).

Re: lower tie bar question (nonsense)
i don't think you can stretch or shorten the tie bar in anyway by the picture....but you can only tighten the bolts holding it.

That's not for "making it stiffer," it's for making the bar the length you need for the holes to line up. Once they line up, you snug it up.
Shoulda saved your money and just gone Comptech.

i think his question is, when he snugging it up, should be be making them tighter by makeing it shorter or putting put by making it longer
in other word, he's asking shoudl the tie bar be tie up both points or stressing/pushing out both point.
tie bar really would do sh-t tho', i doubt you would really feel something after it's on
